• Confess that you are a sinner.
• Accept that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for your sins when He died on the cross.
• Ask Christ to change your life and help you turn from your sins through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Pray something like this:

Dear Lord Jesus.

I come to you as a sinner.

Please forgive me.

I know that you died for my sins.

Lord, enter my life and give me a new heart.

Please help me resist sinning.

By Your Spirit, empower me to trust and follow You as Lord and Savior.

In Your Mighty Name, Lord Jesus, I pray.  Amen
